Payment

We accept all major credit cards on our website through Stripe, and PayPal. Our website is encrypted
and 100% safe for you. If you are in NZ, Bank direct transfer also available. You will be redirected to
choose which option you take, when you complete order on shopping cart.

Incorrect Bank Account Number
When you decide to pay direct bank Transfer, and if you transfer money to incorrect bank account
number, Chiko Soap Handmade Natural will not accept any responsibility for correcting payment and
goods will not be dispatched by Chiko Soap Handmade Natural until we have received payment in full.
Thank you for your kind understanding.

Cancellation
Once an order has been placed when you choose credit card payment option. Credit card handling fee
may be charged on your bank side and refunded deducted it. If a purchaser wishes to cancel an order
they must contact sales@chikosoap.nz immediately.

Shipping costs
Domestic Shipping (within New Zealand):
We offer free shipping on all orders over NZ$150.
For orders under NZ$150:
・ Urban delivery: NZ$7 with standard tracking service via NZ Post or Aramex.
・ Rural delivery: From NZ$10, depending on the area.

Overseas shipping
We offer free international shipping for any order over NZ$150.
For orders under NZ$150:
・ Under 1kg: Shipping is NZ$25, with delivery expected within 5–10 working days (excluding
weekends and public holidays).
・ Over 1kg: Shipping starts from NZ$30, depending on the weight and destination.
Process Timeframe
We usually aim to process and dispatch all orders within 3 business days after.

Our orders are dispatched with NZ Post or Aramex (tracking delivery). Non rural deliveries are 1-2
business days while rural deliveries can take 3-5 working days.

Just a Note: Chiko Soap Handmade Natural is a one-person operation — I personally handle every
step of the process, from creating the recipes and making the soaps to packaging, marketing, and
sales. I also work full-time as a long-haul flight attendant, so there may occasionally be delays in
communication or dispatch if I am away from my home base or out of Wi-Fi range.

However, as soon as I receive your message or online order, I will respond as quickly as possible and
provide you with an estimated timeframe and any necessary details. Thank you for your kind
understanding.

Return Policy
For hygiene reasons, our products cannot be resold — which is why we do not accept returns.
However, at Chiko Soap Handmade Natural, we always do our best to provide products you’ll love. If
you're not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, please don’t hesitate to email us at
sales@chikosoap.nz — we’ll do our best to make it right as soon as possible.

Missing or Defective Item Policy
If you received the wrong product or a defective item, we’re here to help! Chiko Soap Handmade
Natural will gladly replace or resend the item at no extra cost. Please contact us within 7 days of
receiving your order, and include a photo of the item and your order number.

Refunds
Due to hygiene reasons, soap products are non-refundable if you simply change your mind.
However, if you receive a defective items, we’re happy to offer a refund. Once your return is
received and inspected, you can expect your refund within up to four weeks from the date you ship
the package. In many cases, refunds are processed sooner. This timeframe includes shipping,
inspection, and payment processing.Thank you for understanding and supporting handmade products!

Your Privacy:
Chiko Soap Handmade Natural does not pass on, sell or distribute your personal information to
anyone’s. Your payment information will be dealt with secure system called SSL.

Bar soap is making a beautiful comeback. While liquid soap may seem convenient, it often requires
many additives to achieve its form. At Chiko Soap Handmade Natural, we’re committed to simplicity
and purity.
We never use petroleum-based surfactants, sulphate, parabens, phenoxyethanol, silicones, artificial
colourants, or mineral oils. Our handmade bar soaps are gentle, luxurious, and thoughtfully formulated
to support your skin’s natural self-cleaning ability—without stripping away essential oils.
It’s clean skincare, just as nature intended.

At Chiko Soap, we blend the best of New Zealand’s natural treasures, Japanese ingredients, and
Ayurvedic wisdom. We use only fundamental ingredients—oils, water, and sodium hydroxide—crafted
using the Cold Process method. Our soaps are free from synthetic detergents, preservatives, and
artificial additives. We preserve natural glycerin for added moisture and choose high-quality, plant-
based oils like olive, coconut, and shea butter to care for your skin and the planet.

2. Handcrafted with Intention & Care
Every soap is individually made by hand, from recipe development to packaging. Small batch
production allows for attention to detail and a personal touch in each bar. Whether it’s our Chiko
Standard Soap, probiotic blends, vegan options, pet-friendly bars, or scent-free formulas for
sensitive users—we craft each one with love and purpose. We also create seasonal and locally
inspired designs, incorporating fresh fruits, vegetables, and botanicals.

3. Sustainability & Skin Harmony
We believe in skincare that supports your skin’s natural self-cleaning function without harsh
stripping. Our soaps maintain a gentle pH of around 7–8, making them ideal for sensitive skin. We
cure our soaps longer for richer lather and better quality. With plastic-free and recycled
packaging, we aim to minimize our environmental footprint while delivering luxury that feels
good—for both skin and earth.

Variations:
Because our soaps are all hand-made, they are all perfectly different! With this in mind, we will
always send you the best-produced products. Their weights may vary slightly during the drying
process.

Price:
All prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).
As a sole trader (not yet GST registered), we do not charge GST at this time.
Shipping costs are not included in the listed product prices and will be calculated at checkout.
All items are subject to availability. While we do our best to maintain stock levels, some products may
be temporarily out of stock—especially around market days or during large orders. If that happens,
we’ll contact you promptly with an estimated delivery time.

International Orders
For customers outside of New Zealand, please be aware that customs or import duties may apply
once your package reaches its destination. These fees are outside of our control and are the
responsibility of the customer. We recommend contacting your local customs office for information
on any potential import duties or local sales taxes.
